All aboard for an exciting tour of the Hunter Valley and the picturesque Gardens Xmas Lights. Today we travel along the Murray Valley Highway to Albury for morning tea, then along the Hume Freeway to Gundagai and the 'Dog on the Tuckerbox' for our lunch break and see the ruins of the Old Five Mile Pub. After lunch we continue through the beautiful rolling country side of the Yass Plains as we make our way to Historic Goulburn for our Overnight Stay at the Comfort Inn Posthouse. We enjoy Dinner and get to know our fellow travellers.
This morning after a hearty breakfast, we farewell Goulburn and continue to travel north, making our way through the outskirts of Sydney, stopping for morning tea en-route. We continue along the Pacific Highway to Gosford West where we visit Henry Kendell's Cottage before our lunch break. This afternoon we enjoy a tour of the beautiful surrounds of Gosford and the Brisbane Waters. Travel through Woy Woy and visit the peaceful coastal town of Terrigal before we continue along the Pacific Highway to Maitland. We settle in for the Next Two Nights at the Best Western Endeavour Maitland.
This morning we visit the beautiful Hunter Valley Gardens, with excellent displays of colour and spectacular display gardens. With time to explore each of the twelve feature gardens one by one, and enjoy an exciting journey through flowers, trees and shrubs with an air of discovery at every turn. Lunch is included today in the Garden Terrace Cafe. After lunch we enjoy a tour of McGuigan's Winery and also have time to look around the Village with its many specialty shops. We return to Maitland for dinner. Then after dinner it's back to Hunter Valley Gardens to view the spectacular lights show.
We farewell Hunter Valley and travel to Merriwa for morning tea. Then it's on to Dubbo, the regional capital of the Central West where we enjoy lunch in the town. We then enjoy a visit to the Western Plains Zoo, home of the Black Rhinos and the Sumatran Tigers. We settle in for the Night at the Comfort Inn Blue Lagoon, Dubbo.
An early start this morning as we make our way south to the 'Dish' at Parkes for morning tea. We see the historic buildings of Forbes as we make our way homewards at the conclusion to a most relaxing and scenic tour of the Hunter Valley.
