Welcome aboard for the amazing Jamala Wildlife Safari. Today we travel through Albury and along the Hume Freeway to Gundagai and the Dog on the Tuckerbox for our lunch break. See the ruins of the Old Five Mile Pub. After lunch we make our way to our capital, Canberra and visit Cockington Green with its detailed miniature re-creation of an English rural village. We settle in Overnight at the Quality Hotel, Dickson.
This morning, after breakfast, we visit Parliament House, and experience Australia's robust democracy in action. You'll also find some of Australia's finest historical treasures and contemporary art on display throughout the building, and in their permanent and temporary exhibitions. Then we make our way to the Australian War Memorial. After lunch we enjoy a Short City Tour before arriving at Jamala Lodge. Meet in the Ushaka Lodge and become aquainted with Colin, Colby and Brodie (our black & white Colobus Monkeys), and Homer & Tawny (Queensland Groper and Tawney Nurse Shark). We then take part in an Afternoon Safari where you can enjoy this tour into The National Zoo & Aquarium with one of the guides and meet some of our beautiful animals. You will also learn some amazing facts about different species from around the world. We return to our rooms where you will have time to relax before dinner, or maybe you would prefer to further explore the Zoo. This evening, venture through the Aquarium Rainforest and into The Cave to enjoy pre-dinner drinks with your fellow passengers and some exotic residents. At Dinner you can indulge in our Chefs African influenced 'Dinner Party' menu. We then return to our suites to enjoy the sounds of the Zoo at night.
Oh, the wonderful feeling of waking up in such a unique and exotic location!! Delight in a sumptuous breakfast before heading out on a Morning Safari. You head back into the Zoo and experience the sights and sounds of the animals as they awaken, and have some free time to wander around before bidding farewell to all the animals and boarding Cardwell's Bus. We make our way home visit Gundagai where we stop for lunch, before continuing on to Holbrook and then home to our respective destinations after a memorable and amazing trip to Jamala Lodge Safari.

When making a booking you have the option of giving a preference for which animal will be outside your room. It is not possible to allocate you a specific Jungle Bungalow animal as this depends on which animals are in the enclosures but Jamala will do their very best to accommodate

Shark Grand Suite- Walk onto your terrace to overlook the shark tank, you will be taken out onto the terrace and will be able to have a feeding session with these amazing animals.
Wild Encounter Suite- Over looking the stunning Gardens of the Lodge, you don't have a animal in your area BUT! in the morning you will be taken out to see the Hyenas getting to meet them more personally.
Lemur Room- With just a wall of glass separating you from the interesting Lemurs you will also be able to look out to the Molonglo River, Lions enclosure and much more.
Reef Room- Have your own personal Aquarium with some of the most exotic fishes to view from. Also one of your windows will over look the Hyenas.
Wild Encounter Room 1- You have the beauty of a Terrace and Gardens and in the morning you will get up close and personal with the Cheetahs go into the enclosure a see the fastest animal in the world.
Wild Encounter Room 2- There is no wild animals connected to this room but in the morning get up close and personal with the Meerkats, these animals are so cute and you won't want to leave their enclosure.
