Day 1 - Thursday 29th March 18 Sydney
All aboard for
an exciting tour to Sydney.
Today we travel through Albury
then along the Hume Highway to Gundagai to
the Dog on the Tuckerbox for our
lunch break. After lunch we continue
through the rolling countryside of Yass
to Marulan, stopping for our
afternoon tea before we make our way in to Sydney. We settle in for the Next Three Nights at the Camperdown Rydges Motel in Sydney.
Day 2 - Friday 30th Sydney Easter Show
This morning after a relaxing start we make our way to The Sydney Showgrounds to see the wonders of showtime. Meet farmyard animals, taste award - winning produce and feel the adrenaline in the carnival on any day of the Show. You have the day to see the exhibitions and take in the sights of the wonderful Sydney Easter Show, before returning to your motel for your evening meal.
Day 3 - Saturday 31st Sydney Harbour Cruise
An exciting day awaits, after a hearty breakfast we enjoy a City Sights Tour as we travel over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and down the Domain to Mrs MacQuarie's Chair, enjoy some superb views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. All aboard for a relaxing Sydney Harbour Cruise taking in all the highlights of this beautiful Harbour. Time to browse and enjoy lunch at the historic Rocks. We see some of the most expensive areas of Sydney, we travel past the famous Bondi Beach where the first life saving club was formed then onto South Head for some magnificent views of the South Pacific Ocean and Port Jackson. We then have an early smorgasbord dinner at the Star Casino. Then we go to the Highlight of the trip for the Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour 'La oheme'. Experience the romance of the original Bohemian love story at the magnificent Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour. You'll taste the best of Sydney in a single
night out: food, fireworks, singing and spectacle under the stars. 'La Boheme' opens your soul to emotions too big for words. As six friends
bare their hearts and souls in a Parisian winter, you'll fall in love, flare
with passion and ache with loss, right alongside them. We open the site at 5pm,
so arrive as the sun is setting over the city skyline and take in the view with
a glass of bubbles as dusk falls. Meet for dinner at one of the pop-up bars and
restaurants, then sit back in a grandstand at the water's edge and immerse
yourself in Puccini's passionate music. We then return to the motel.
Day 4 - Sunday 1st April Blue Mountains - Cowra
we explore the beautiful Blue Mountains, as we travel through to
Blaxland, Lawson and the Wentworth Falls to Katoomba. Enjoy spectacular views of the Three Sisters and the Jamieson Valley beyond.
Then we visit Scenic World where we see the fascinating Blue Mountains documentary before an exciting ride on the scenic railway and
enjoy the easy access boardwalk through the ancient rainforest then return on
the newly constructed Cableway. Time to
browse though the shops and enjoy our lunch break. Travel to Bathurst where we take a
ride around the famous Mt Panorama Racing Circuit. Continue to Cowra, which is
situated on the Lachlan River. We settle
in for our Overnight Stay at the Cowra Services Club Motel.
Day 5 - Monday 2nd Cowra - Home
This morning we
visit the Japanese and Australian War Cemeteries. We travel through the Cherry Capital of Young and continue
to Cootamundra and Junee stopping for our lunch break at Wagga as we make our way homewards at
the conclusion to a most relaxing and scenic tour of Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
