Come and Join us on a fun filled 3 Day Cider Festival Tour!
All aboard for a relaxing tour exploring the Snowy Mountains region. Today we travel along the Murray Valley Highway to Albury for morning tea, then along the Hume Freeway via Rosewood to Tumbarumba. We explore Boggy Creek Farm for the highlight of the day. Boggy Creek is a working farm set in the foothills of the snowy mountains with spectacular, uninterrupted views. Being a fourth generation mountain cattleman, Tim O'Brien showcases, in his own unique style, authentic farming life both past and present. The 2 hour award winning live performance is choreographed to music and professionally presented in an amphitheatre setting that looks right into the heart of the snowy mountains. You'll be amazed at the skill and antics of the highly trained animals that feature in the show. Entertainment is guaranteed for all ages. Enjoy the picturesque scenery as we travel through the Gilmour Valley to Tumut. We settle into the lovely Tumut Valley Motel for our Two Night Stay.
This morning after breakfast we head to Batlow for the Apple Cider Festival. In this big street party, cider lovers can savour Batlow's unique, home-grown range of boutique ciders and compare them with a range of regional ciders, local craft brews and cold climate wines. With ethnic cuisines on offer as well as merchandise stalls and interesting exhibits, two stages of entertainment, street performers, buskers, and Wacky Apple Tarts leading the dance, there is something to please everyone. After a full day in Batlow we return to Tumut with time to freshen up before dinner.
Departing Tumut we make our way to Corryong, where we visit the home and museum of the 'Man from Snowy River'. After lunch in Corryong we continue onto the lovely little township of Tallangatta situated on the upper Hume Weir and best known as the town that went 'Walkabout'. Then we travel along the Mitta Mitta arm of Lake Hume to Wodonga and home.
