Day 1 Thursday 31st May Jerilderie - Coonabarabran

Welcome aboard for our relaxing tour of Coffs Harbour. Today we travel to Jerilderie for our morning tea break. After our stop we continue through Narrandera to West Wylong, which is known as the largest cereal growing area in NSW, for lunch.  We make our way to Forbes, Parkes and on to Peak Hill, with its rich mining history, for our afternoon tea stop. We enjoy further sights enroute as we continue along the Newell Highway through Dubbo, Gilgandra and onto Coonabarabran.  We settle in for our Overnight Stay at the Acacia Lodge Motor Inn.

Day 2 Friday 1st June TAMWORTH - COFFS HARBOUR 

This morning after a hearty breakfast we travel to Tamworth, the Country Music Capital, see the Golden Guitar and enjoy our lunch break here. Make our Armidale and along the Waterfall Way to Dorrigo. It is interesting to not that the Waterfall Way is one of the worlds most scenic drives. This breathtaking journey is the perfect way to experience the diversity of the changing landscape. We travel past majestic waterfalls through the most accessible national park in the world. We enjoy this world heritage listed national park where there is a fantastic skywalk high above the rainforest, an experience not to be missed. We make our way to Coffs Harbour and settle in for the next three nights at the Opal Cove Resort. 

Day 3 Saturday 2nd COFFS HARBOUR

Today after a sumptuous breakfast and a relaxing start we explore beautiful Coffs Harbour. Visit the interesting Marina with its fishing fleet, whale watching and recreational vessels moored in the safe harbour. We visit Pet Porpoise Pool, see the amazing show, starring dolphins and sea lions followed by feeding of fairy penguins and fish which is sure not to disappoint. After a leisurely stroll and lunch we visit the Big Banana, an Australian icon, before visiting the Carobana Factory for a tour and confectionary tasting. We return to the motel with time to freshen uo before enjoying a 3- course dinner.


Day 4 Sunday 3rd GRAFTON

This morning we follow the Pacific Highway north to Woolgoolga to Grafton the Commerical Centre of the Clarence Valley.  Grafton is a beautiful place, justified with its gardens, fine colonial buildings and broad avenues lined with Jacaranda trees, set on the banks of the Clarence River. We then visit the interesting Squatters Rest Private Museum for a guided tour and entertainment including a luncheon. After that we make our way back to Coffs Harbour in time to freshen up for our Dinner at the Resort.


Today, after enjoying a fully cooked breakfast, we enjoy a relaxing morning on board the PACIFIC EXPLORER for a Whale Watching Cruise. Enjoy the commentary as we cruise past the spectacular Coffs Harbour coastline.   The Coffs Harbour coastline stretches over more than 40 kilometres featuring a total of 30 beaches from Bonville in the south to Corindi/Pipe Clay in the north. Make the most of the free afternoon to relax at the resort or soak up the friendly atmosphere of this beautiful coastal town.    Dinner tonight is at the Motel.



This morning we visit the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House to view these wonderful creatures. We then travel to Nambucca Heads with magnificent views along the way.   We continue through Kempsey, which is home to a large industrial estate including the Akubra hat company, before visiting the Slim Dusty Centre for a tour of his memorabilia. After lunch we travel to Port Macquarie for a tour of the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre. We settle the next Two Nights at the El Paso Motor Inn, Port Macquarie.

Day 7 Wednesday 6th PORT MACQUARIE

This morning after breakfast we travel a short distance to the town of Wauchope, where we visit Timber Town, an authentically recreated Timber Village of the 1880s. We enjoy all the aspects of life in this era from Blacksmith to Bakery and Storekeepers to Steam Trains, a good opportunity to purchase lunch from one of the cafes. Mid afternoon we make our way to The Koala Hospital. We visit when the koalas are fed and a volunteer will explain the issues that brought the koalas into their care. We then visit Cassegrain Hastings River Winery for the chance to taste and buy the local wines. Tonights dinner is at the motel. 


This morning we farewell our hosts and make our way south and drive through Taree before joining the Lakes Way which takes us through the coastal towns of Tuncurry and Forster. We rejoin the Pacific Highway before arriving in Newcastle for lunch. This afternoon we travel the outskirts of Sydney and settle in for our Overnight Stay at the Alpha Hotel Eastern Creek.

Day 9 Friday 8th EASTERN CREEK - HOME 

We join the Hume Highway this morning and make our way to the Historic Village of Berrima for our morning tea break. We travel past Goulburn and Yass before arriving at the Dog on the Tuckerbox near Gundagai for our lunch break. We continue along the Hume Highway this afternoon making our way to Albury after a relaxed and enlightening tour of Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
