The Gippsland Lakes support a diverse range of native vegetation and wild-life, boating activities and charming towns. We return to Lakes Entrance for lunch and free time to explore. We then continue along the Princes Highway, passing through Orbost, Cann River and Genoa. We cross the border into NSW, reaching the scenic coastal township of Merimbula staying at The Comfort Inn.
After breakfast we have time to explore Merimbula and then continue along the beautiful South Coast to Bega for lunch. The colony to the north contains up to 40 seals whilst the colony to the south is slightly smaller at approximately 30 seals. Both colonies offer fantastic viewing opportunities to see these dogs of the sea. And the seals make up only part of the cruise. On your way to the seals you will discover some of the greatest sights that Jervis Bay has to offer along the towering cliffs on the eastern side of the Bay. If the 300 foot cliffs dont impress then there are always the deep inlets, the caves, the irregular rock formations and the abundance of wildlife that habitate along the cliffs.Learn about the history of how the spectacular Jervis Bay cliffs of Beecroft Peninsula were formed, with a perspective only seen from the calm waters of the bay. Lunch is then held at the local club. After lunch we continue onto Kiama for time to explore in the town before staying at the Kiama Shores Motel.
