See the end of 2018 and the start of 2019 in Stunning Warrnambool
Welcome aboard our 4 Day New Years Eve Tour. Today we travel to Elmore, for morning tea and make our way through Bendigo to Maryborough for our lunch break. See the Maryborough Railway Station and Civic Square Buildings that Maryborough is renowned for. We continue to travel through Beaufort and the Western District to Mortlake and on to Warrnambool. We settle in for the Next Three Nights at the lovely Olde Maritime Motor Inn.
Day 2 Monday 31st DISCOVER WARRNAMBOOL, PORT FAIRY (B)
This morning after a leisurely start we attend the Warrnambool Fresh Market which is hosting its final market for 2018 at the grassed area of Lake Pertobe. After lunch we then travel to the town of Port Fairy, the towns history goes back to whaling days and was once one of the largest ports in Australia with many small cottages and blue stone buildings now classified by the National Trust. We spend time in Warrnambool shopping at your leisure. Tonight we join the celebration at Flagstaff Hill which includes Fire Works, Live music, interactive tours, and Food stalls were we eat at your own cost. After that we move down to Near Breakwater Pier to welcome in the New Year with Spectacular Fireworks, before returning to our motel.
This morning we make our way along the Shipwreck Coast, many ships lie in watery graves along this unforgiving coastline. See the Fallen London Bridge as we make our way to Port Campbell, a quaint town developed as a fishing village in the 1870s. It is now an important tourist town on the Great Ocean Road. Visit the Information Centre and enjoy an audio-visual on the past history. We enjoy lunch in Port Campbell before making our way along the Great Ocean Road to see Lock Ard Gorge and the Twelve Apostles. You may wish to do an optional Scenic Helicopter Flight over this amazing coastline. We return to Warrnambool, to relax at our motel afternoon after an informative day travelling along the Great Ocean Road and Shipwreck Coast.
After a hearty breakfast we farewell Warrnambool We travel home through Mortlake and onto Ballarat and see the POW Memorial and the Botanical Gardens. Following lunch we then Travel through Castlemaine and then onto Bendigo then home after an enjoyable New Years in Warrnambool.
