Oahu & Kauai Discovery Tour Includes Flights, Tipping & ESTA

Today we make our way down to Melbourne Airport for our domestic flight to Sydney. When we arrive in Sydney, we then make our way to the International Terminal for our flight to Honolulu.

Due to the International date line you arrive at your destination 1st thing on the morning of the 3rd. You will be met on arrival with a traditional Lei Greeting and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day will be at leisure. Tonight, we have arranged a welcome dinner at a local restaurant which is walking distance to your hotel.

Day 2 April 4th HONOLULU (B,D)

Today after breakfast you will enjoy a Grand Circle Island Tour. Circle the island of Oahu on a guided bus tour, riding along rugged coastline and sandy white beaches from bustling Waikiki to the crashing surf of the North Shore. Stop at the windswept Pali lookout, visit sacred sites at Kualoa Ranch and see pineapples at the famous Dole Plantation. After you're picked up in lively Waikiki, take a seat on your comfortable tour bus, passing by Diamond Head Crater on your way up to Nuuanu Pali lookout. Brave the windy gusts for sweeping panoramas of the windward coast and views that stretch out to Chinaman's Hat, an aptly nicknamed island off the shore. Cruise by natural landmarks like the Halona Blowhole, where crashing waves send spouts of water high into the air, and spot the swimmers at Hanauma Bay, a snorkeller's paradise packed with vibrant tropical fish. Stop off at majestic Kualoa Ranch for a guided tram tour, listening to Hawaiian stories and folklore as you journey to the sacred site of Paliku. Pass through the Valley of the Temples for a glimpse of serene Byodo In, a Buddhist place of worship. On the rural North Shore, admire the powerful waves at Waimea Bay. This world-famous surfing destination can see up to 20 foot (6-metre) swells in the winter. Your final stop is the Dole Pineapple Plantation. Here, you can explore Oahu's agricultural heritage and sample tropical fruit on the historic grounds before making your way back to Waikiki. Dinner tonight at a local restaurant, walking distance from the hotel.

Day 3 April 5th HONOLULU (B,D)

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out on your full day (11hr) Pearl harbour Tour. Relive the dramatic series of events that unfolded on Dec. 7, 1941, during this daylong tour of Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial, Battleship Missouri Memorial, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, and USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park. A key turning point of World War II, the attack on Pearl Harbor remains one of the most significant events in US history. View film footage captured that fateful day, then walk in the footsteps of Gen. Douglas MacArthur on the USS Battleship Missouri (the Mighty Mo) and see the remains of a Japanese A6M2 Zero that was part of the Pearl Harbor attack. Accessible only by boat, the USS Arizona Memorial is the final resting place for the more than 1,000 crewmen who lost their lives during the attack and serves as a place of reflection. The tour culminates in a narrated drive through the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, Iolani Palace, Kawaiahao Church, Hawaii State Capitol Grounds, and Honolulu City Hall. Later tonight at 5.15pm you will be transferred to Germaines Luau where you will be greeted with a shell lei before tucking into an all you can eat buffet, a welcome drink is also included as well as unlimited soft drinks, tea & coffee and local entertainment. Return to your hotel by 9pm.

Day 4 April 6th HONOLULU, KAUAI (B,D)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport where you will check in for your domestic flight to Kauai. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Dinner tonight is included at a local restaurant.

Day 5 April 7th KAUAI (B,D)

Enjoy another breakfast in paradise before your Waimea Canyon Day Tour. This tour takes you right up to the rim of one of the most awe inspiring sites in Hawaii, Waimea Canyon also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. From the rim you will be offered a spectacular view of Kauais western coast. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6 April 8th KAUAI (B, L, D)

Today after breakfast you will begin your Hawaii Movie Tour. Note pick up is at 0730. This tour provides a rare opportunity to experience Kauai through this lens, taking you on a guided tour of the islands famous movie locations, select movie clips will be shown aboard the bus which will also provide context for the tour, lunch will be included today. Tonight, we have arranged a special 3 course dinner at Plantation Gardens Restaurant, a beautifully restored estate that once served as a plantation managers home for Hawaiis first sugar plantation. Transfer to Dinner will be at 7pm.

Day 7 April 9th KAUAI, HONOLULU (B,D)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to the airport, check in for your flight back to Honolulu. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you will check in for your final night in paradise. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant.


Enjoy an early breakfast before transferring to the airport, check in for your back to Melbourne via Sydney.

Day 9 April 11th MELBOURNE (In flight)

On arriving back into Melbourne, it will be late at night. Tonight, we will be staying at the Best Western Airport Motel.

Day 10 April 12th RETURN (B)

Have a leisurely start to the day today. After a hearty breakfast we will return back home after a very memorable tour of Hawaii.
