Day 1: Friday 7th August 2020 London, England (D)

Your tour opens in London, the cosmopolitan and historical capital of England. This evening, get a taste of contemporary British fare as you join your fellow travellers for a meal highlighting Londonís culinary renaissance.


Day 2: Saturday 8th August 2020 London (B)

Start the day with a local guide view Londonís quintessential sights. Make your way past famous icons including the Tower of London, Big Ben, the House of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the Royal Buckingham Palace. The remainder of the day is at leisure tom explore this dynamic city on your own

 

Day 3: Sunday 9th August 2020 London- York (B)

Say farewell to London and visit the 800- year-old university town of Cambridge en route to the medieval city of York. Upon arrival in York, enjoy a brief orientation tour to get the lay of the land. Or, for a faster journey, choose to arrive in York earlier on your own by way of an optional high-speed rail. Climb aboard at Londonís Kingís Cross station and navigate the busy British train just as the locals do. Sit back and relax as you travel 125mph through Englandís stunning countryside, arriving in York just over two hours later. After your quick ride, meet up with a local expert and walk the labyrinth of quaint, narrow streets and see the cityís famous Minister. Tonight, stay within the historic walled section of the City.


Day 4: Monday 10th August 2020 York- Borders Region, Scotland Ė Edinburgh (B, D)

Enjoy a leisurely morning York before travelling north along the rolling hills to ďBonnieĒ Scotland. Stop to see Hadrianís Wall, built in the 2nd century to protect Roman Britain from the tribes of Scotland. Once the mark of the northern border of the Roman Empire, this ancient fortification stretches across the country. Make your way through Scotlandís borders region before arriving in Edinburgh, where rocky hills tower in the distance and the shadows of history can be seen around every corner. Discover Scotlandís capital and see how medieval crossroads blend seamlessly with a vibrant modern energy. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

 

Day 5 Tuesday 11th August 2020 Edinburgh (B)

Today, itís your choice! Get acquainted with this regal city on a locally guided tour of the city via coach- OR- join a local expert and explore the city on foot. Both tours include visits to Edinburgh Castle, home to the Scottish Crown Jewels, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queenís official Edinburgh residence and the former home of Mary, Queen of Scots. This evening, take your seat at the world- famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, an annual tribute to Scotlandís traditions.

 

Day 6 Wednesday 12th August 2020 Edinburgh- Lake District, England- Chester (B, D)

Your final stop in Scotland comes at the border town of Gretna Green, where generations of runway couples came to get married. Return to England and travel through the picturesque Lake District. In the districtís heart, visit the charming village of Grasmere, home of the Poet William Wordsworth. End your day in Chester, your home for the next two nights, where ancient walls enclose Tudor and Victorian houses.


Day 7 Thursday 13th August 2020 Chester- Llangollen, Wales- Chester, England (B, D)

Choose how you discover Chester because today itís your choice! Embark on a panoramic city tour and then walk through Chesterís Rows to peer into the cityís hidden secrets, hopping in and out of these iconic 2-tired shopping galleries with a local guide- OR Ė follow in the footsteps of ancient Roman soldiers and medieval archers with an exploratory stroll on the cityís ancient walls. Then, cross over into Wales and discover Llangollen, one of the countryís most picturesque villages. See the area from a different perspective when you sail along the top of the Pontcysllte Aqueduct. Admire the view from the tall, bridge like waterway, towering more than 120 feet above the landscapes below.


Day 8 Friday, August 14th 2020 Chester- Stratford upon Avon, England (B, D)

Step back in time on a journey to Stratford- upon- Avon and visit the Bardís birthplace- the childhood home of William Shakespeare. After touring the home, enjoy time to farewell dinner at Hallís Croft, a 400- year- old Shakespeare family home. Toast the end of a wonderful journey while actors in traditional costume perform some of Shakespeare most renowned scenes.


Day 9 Saturday, August 15th 2020 Stratford-upon- Avon (B)

Your journey through Britain concludes today. You will be transferred to the Airport.
