Day 1 Monday 9th August 20 Tullamarine Melbourne (D)
Welcome aboard our scenic West Coast
Spectacular Tour. This afternoon we enjoy a leisurely journey to
Melbourne for our Overnight Stay at Best Western Airport Motel.
Day 2 Tuesday 10th Fly to Darwin City Sights (B,D)
After breakfast we transfer you to Tullamarine Airport for an early morning flight to Darwin. You will be met on
arrival by your coach crew and enjoy a short introductory tour of Darwin, our
most northerly capital city, once devastated by Cyclone Tracy. Free time to
relax, settle in before our evening meal and meet our fellow Top End
travellers.

Darwin.
Day 3 Wednesday 11th
Darwin Sunset Dinner Cruise (B,D)
Today we explore Darwin taking in all its highlights. See Fannie
Bay and visit the Darwin Museum,
a unique complex showing the life and history of Northern Territory. We
inspect the World War II gun
emplacements at East Point, and enjoy the beautiful Botanic Gardens. This
afternoon is at your leisure to shop, spend time with friends or simply relax.
This evening a memorable way to end our
day, with a Sunset Dinner Cruise on Darwin Harbour.
Day 4 Thursday 12th Territory Wildlife Park Litchfield
National Park - Katherine (B,D)
We
farewell Darwin this morning and enjoy a visit to the Territory
Wildlife Park. See the
native wildlife in its natural habitat, unique to the Northern Territory. We make
a visit to the Adelaide River War Cemetery before continuing on to Pine Creek where we visit the Railway Museum and the
National Trust Buildings in the area. We then
continue onto Katherine.
Our Overnight Stay is at the Pine Tree Motel.
Day 5 Friday 13th WA Ord River
- Kununurra (B,D)
Leaving
Katherine this morning we travel along to Victoria
River. Continue through the tiny settlement of Timber Creek before crossing the Western Australian border into
the East Kimberley Region. We tour the irrigation area
of Kununurra a result of the Ord River Scheme. We then continue onto the Zebra
Rock Gallery (the only one of its kind in the world). We enjoy the Next Two Nights at the Kununurra Lakeside Resort.
Day 6 Saturday 14th Kununurra - Bungle Bungles (B,D)
An early morning spectacular scenic
flight over the lost world of the Bungle
Bungles, with their tiger-striped, beehive shaped domes.
View the Ord River Scheme, Ord River Irrigation area and Lake Argyle, with a capacity nine times Sydney Harbour. We
return to our motel for breakfast. We then discover the Kununurra shops before we head out to Lake
Argyle Tourist Village for lunch stopping at the Durack Homestead enroute. Then a real highlight as we cruise the majestic Ord
River to Kununurra and discover the
regions wildlife and unique sandstone formations.
After the cruise we travel back to the motel with time to
freshen up before dinner.
Day 7 Sunday 15th
Kununurra Fitzroy Crossing (B,D)
Departing Kununurra this morning we join the Great
Northern Highway heading south we
visit Wyndham and see
the spectacular lookout viewing where Five Rivers meet spilling into the Cambridge Gulf. We then travel to Turkey Creek Roadhouse. We
continue on to Halls Creek on the edge
of the Great Sandy Desert. We settle in for our Overnight
Stay at the Halls Creek Motel.
Day 8 Monday 16th Geike
Gorge Cruise Fitzroy River (B,D)
Today we make our way to Fitzroy
River for lunch. This Afternoon we
enjoy the spectacular Geike Gorge Cruise, it is among one of the most colourful and historic gorges in northern
Australia. See the Fossilised Barrier Reef, where the Fitzroy River has carved its path over 300 million years. View the bird life and
maybe see some fresh water crocodiles.We settle in for our Overnight Stay at the Fitzroy River Lodge.
Day 9 Tuesday 17th Derby Broome (B,D)
A relaxing
start today as we travel to Derby, see the Old Derby Gaol and famous Derby Jetty with the highest tidal range in Australia. See the 1000 year old Boab Prison Tree before we continue on to
Broome, follow the Great Northern Highway past huge Cattle Stations and small settlements. Today with increasing tourism, Broome is rapidly expanding into the most populous town in the Kimberley.
Spend the Next Two Nights at the Oaks Resort Cable Beach.
Day 10 Wednesday 18th Broome Cable Beach (B,D)
Enjoy a
leisurely start this morning and discover Broome renowned as The Pearl of the West. See Chinatown, a reminder of the towns multi-cultural history, and Streeters Jetty, where the old pearl luggers
unloaded their pearl shell. Visit the unique Pearl divers Cemetery. Broome still produces a large percentage of
the worlds pearls. Later you can enjoy a walk along Cable
Beach, with its brilliant turquoise water and magnificent
white sands. Enjoy the sunset tonight at Cable Beach.
Day 11 Thursday 19th Broome Melbourne (B,D)
We bid our fellow
travellers farewell as we depart for our return flight to Melbourne, via Perth.
We stay Overnight at Best Western Airport Motel.
Day 12 Friday 20th Melbourne - Home (B)
After a hearty
breakfast we return home to our respective destinations after a thoroughly
enjoyable tour of Darwin to Perth.
