Experience New Orleans, where jazz, food and fun are always on the menu. Explore New Orleans with a tour highlighting the city’s musical history and influence. Spend 2 nights in Memphis, “birthplace of the blues.” Choose how you explore Nashville highlights – with a chocolate-making lesson or a visit to the Johnny Cash Museum. Enjoy reserved seats at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. See where country legends recorded hit tunes at RCA Studio B. You’ll be hummin’ and strummin’ long after you’ve returned home.


Day 1: Friday 25th April 2025 Melbourne

All Aboard! This afternoon we make our way down to Melbourne for our overnight stay at the Best Western Airport Motel & Convention Centre. Meet your fellow travellers and have a relaxing evening before your flight the following morning.

Day 2: Saturday 26th April 2025 MELBOURNE - NEW ORLEANS

After a hearty breakfast you will transferred to Melbourne Airport from the Motel. Proceed through airport formalities for your United flight to New Orleans. Your flight journey will be connecting in San Francisco before arriving in New Orleans. In flight meal service is included on your flight. On arrival into New Orleans you will be transferred to your accommodation for the next three nights, which will be the Sheraton New Orleans.

Day 3: Sunday 27th April 2025 NEW ORLEANS

Today is a perfect day to go exploring around the “Jazz Capital of the World.” This soulful city abounds with rich history, mouthwatering Cajun and Creole cuisine, and of course, an incomparable soundtrack. Take in the sights, flavors, and sounds of New Orleans on your own today before meeting your group in the morning.

Day 4: Monday 28th April 2025 NEW ORLEANS

Explore the many sides of New Orleans and how jazz began and thrives here. Join a local guide for a panoramic city tour, seeing the famous St. Louis Cemetery #3 and Esplanade. Then, it’s on to a walking tour of the French Quarter viewing St. Louis Cathedral, Pirates Alley and more. Tonight, get to know your travel companions at a New Orleans-style dinner before continuing on to Maison Bourbon, a live jazz club in the French Quarter.

Day 5: Tuesday 29th April 2025 OXFORD

Leave New Orleans on a high note and head to the next music landmark. Explore the history of one of the world’s most prestigious awards in music at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. Later, arrive in the charming college town of Oxford for a laid-back evening. Your overnight accommodation will be The Inn at Ole Miss.

Day 6: Wednesday 30th April 2025 MEMPHIS

Travel north to Memphis, the birthplace of the Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Soul. Enjoy Southern hospitality at your hotel before jiving along to “Jailhouse Rock” as you visit Graceland, the stately mansion of the “King” himself, and tour Elvis’s 14-acre estate, including his home, private jets, and Meditation Garden. Your two night accommodation will be The Guest House at Graceland

Day 7: Thursday 1st May 2025 MEMPHIS

This morning, embark on a civil rights history tour via coach and follow the route of Martin Luther King Jr.’s last march, stopping at Mason Temple where he gave his famous “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech the night before he was assassinated. Take time to explore the National Civil Rights Museum and grab lunch on your own. Later, get acquainted with the musical history of Memphis with a visit to Sun Studio, perhaps the most famous recording studio in the world before continuing on to the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum, highlighting the musical journey of this popular city.

Day 8: Friday 2nd May 2025 NASHVILLE

Roll along Music Highway to Nashville – the “Music Capital of the World.” Arrive in Nashville and tour the historic Ryman Auditorium,* the original home of the Grand Ole Opry. What began as a building where a local radio broadcast show aired once a week in 1925 has grown to become an entertainment complex that attracts music fans from all over the world. This evening, take your reserved seat at the renowned Grand Ole Opry.** Your three night accommodation will be the Gaylord Opryland Resort

Day 9: Saturday 3rd May 2025 NASHVILLE

xplore the Country Music Hall of Fame, the world’s largest museum of popular music, and check out the vast collections of memorabilia, costumes, recordings, and instruments. Tour RCA Studio B and gain an insider’s look at Nashville’s oldest remaining recording studio, where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Charley Pride once recorded classic hits. You may even have the opportunity to record your own hit! After one more lunch together, it’s your choice! Join a hands-on chocolate-making lesson at the iconic Goo Goo Candy Shop -OR- visit the Johnny Cash Museum where you’ll be immersed in the life and legacy of Johnny Cash, a "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" honoree and the biographical inspiration for the blockbuster film, Walk the Line.

Day 10: Sunday 4th May 2025 NASHVILLE

Your final day in Nashville will be a free day to go exploring around the city or relax at the resort . Take the day to soak up the culture, food and music of what Nashville has to offer.

Day 11: Monday 5th May 2025 NASHVILLE

This afternoon you will be transferred to the Nashville airport. Go through formalities for your United flight. You will be connecting through San Francisco before arriving back into Melbourne.

Day 12: Tuesday 6th May 2025 MELBOURNE

This morning you will arrive back into Melbourne, where a Cardwell representative will transfer you back to your original pickup locations.

Deposit: $500 per person

Activity Level:  Level 2 – Moderate. You like a balanced approach to travel. Walking two to three miles over the course of a day is no problem for you. You can partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour, covering up to two miles (with included breaks). You can handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance. You can climb two flights of stairs with ease. There may be 1 to 2 days on this tour when walking tours can cover 3 to 4 miles over uneven terrain. You can handle altitudes up to 6,000 feet.

FREE PASSENGER PICKUP & RETURN SERVICE: For the convenience of all our passengers Cardwell’s Coach & International Travel provide Free Passenger Pickup & Return Service from most major Towns in North, North-East, Central Victoria & Southern NSW.  (For Example:  Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Seymour, Bendigo, Finley, Kerang, Echuca, Deniliquin, Yarrawonga, Corowa, and towns within these areas).

For Passenger’s who live outside these areas Cardwell’s provide Overnight accommodation in Numurkah and ‘Free lock up car storage’ at our Numurkah depot.

NOT INCLUDED:  Cost of passport, Visa (Australian Passport holders will not need a Visa), tipping and Gratuities.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Deposit is un-refundable at time of booking and all monies paid will become un-refundable after the balance due date.

FARES & ITINERARIES: Cardwell’s Coach Travel costs published & outlined in the brochure are frozen; errors or printing mistakes are subject to correction. However, policy or itinerary changes by rail/air/sea/land/tour operators or changes in Government duties or taxes are outside the control of Cardwell’s Coach Travel. Air fares and other discount travel arrangements may be subject to availability of seats/berths, as determined by transport companies. Alternative hotels may be used.  No increases apply once full fare is paid. The Tour duration includes the day of departure and the day of return. Fares shown make no allowance for extra accommodation or transfers necessitated by en-route stop-overs caused by rail/air/boat schedules, strikes or other reasons. Your Travel Agent will forward deposits and other payments to us on your behalf.  Receipt of deposits and also subsequent payments by the travel agent does not constitute receipts of those monies by us.  There is no liability on our part in respect of any monies paid to your Travel Agent unless and until we notify you (by way of Booking Confirmation Advice or Payment Receipt Advice) that monies have been received by us.  Cardwell’s Coach Travel reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by Cardwell’s Coach Travel and has the right to accept wait listed passengers in place of those failing to finalise within the prescribed time.

CONTINGENCY: In the event of circumstances affecting the progress of any tour arrangements (including but not limited to vehicle breakdowns and missed flight connections) Cardwell’s Coach & International Travel will not be responsible for any accommodation costs and will not be liable for any airfares or repatriation costs whatsoever. All efforts will be made to rectify the situation expediently. Cardwell’s Coach & International Travel reserve the right to alter the itinerary in order to make up any time lost due to any unforeseen circumstances.

ELIGIBILITY: No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of CARDWELLS’ COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or they become objectionable to other passengers.  However, any person/s who cannot travel independently or needs special assistance must be accompanied by a companion.

ITINERARY CHANGES:   Itineraries, tours and cruises are subject to alteration with or without notice and intended as a guide only.  Alterations may come about due to road or weather conditions, strikes, non-performance by a supplier or any other reasons Cardwell’s Coach Travel act in your best interest in any such changes.

ARBITRATION: The contract shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Should the unlikely situation arise that a customer has a complaint about any aspect of a tour, the complaint should be reported immediately to the local Tour Guide (where possible), or to the management of the supplier (eg: hotel, tour operator, etc), in order to be given the opportunity to immediately rectify the problem. If a satisfactory outcome is not forthcoming all complaints must be in writing and received by Cardwell’s Coach Travel, providing full details of the problem and those previously contacted in the resolution process. Cardwell’s Coach Travel offers no guarantee of material or financial compensation in any instance.

MINIMUM NUMBERS/ HOSTESS: Cardwell Coach & International Travel have a group allocation on the Collette Tour. Your tour guide will meet you on Day 3 and leave on the second last day.

LUGGAGE: One medium suitcase per person, not exceeding 20kg (42lbs) and one carry bag for inside the coach.  Over limit luggage cannot be carried. International flights as per airline allowances.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We can arrange for passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including cancellation fees, medical & curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure from tour due to death or illness etc.) These can be extremely expensive.  Ask your travel agent for details at time of booking.

FORCE MAJEURE: If by any means of any event of force majeure (which shall include terrorism, pandemic or any cause or event outside our control) we shall be delayed in or prevented from performing our obligations, then such delay or non-performance shall not be deemed a breach or entitle damages claim. Our obligations shall be suspended whilst such event of force majeure continues.
