Tuesday 25th March 2025

Welcome aboard for a delightful tour of adventure, relaxation and spectacular sightseeing. Today we travel along the Highway to Gundagai where we stop for lunch. We then continue our journey, stopping enroute for afternoon tea, before arriving in Goulburn for our overnight stay at Mercure Goulburn – be enticed by the country charm of Australia’s first inland city. Perfectly positioned just two hours from the coast – a world rich in heritage, culture, natural beauty.

Wednesday 26th March 2025

After breakfast, we take a Goulburn Town Tour. We enjoy morning tea in Berrima with time to spend in the historic shops. A great way to discover the village is on the self-guided Berrima Heritage Walk. Stop by the Berrima Courthouse, a Regency-style design built in the 1830s from hand-hewn standstone. Stop for a drink at one of Australia’s oldest licensed pubs, the Surveyor General Inn, built by convicts in 1834 from local sandstone. The leafy streets are lined with outdoor cafes and interesting shops. The grand and picturesque Bendooley Estate on the edge of town is home to an incredible Book Barn with thousands of old and new books. We enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we visit the Museum of Fire. The Museum’s collection is of national importance as it celebrates the heroic history of the Firefighters and Fire services in Australia. We continue on to our accommodation for the next two nights Fairmont Resort & Spa, Blue Mountains – MGallery. Dinner tonight is at the fabulous Hydro Majestic Blue Mountains, before returning to the motel.

Thursday 27th March 2025

Relax and enjoy breakfast. Today is yours to do as you please. Relax, explore & engage your senses at the Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains. Located in a World Heritage listed area, our Blue Mountains accommodation is 90 minutes west of Sydney. The Blue Mountains hotel includes indoor & outdoor pool, tennis courts, kids rooms, three restaurants and the brand new Ubika Day Spa. Enjoy scenic walking tracks, golf at the adjacent Leura Golf Course or visit Leura Village & Wentworth Falls. Or, better still, join our Coach Driver for a beautiful drive around the area taking in some picturesque views and knowledge of the area. Dinner tonight is at the fabulous Hydro Majestic Blue Mountains, before returning to the motel.

Friday 28th March 2025

After a delicious breakfast we head of to Scenic World. Less than two hours from Sydney, Scenic World is renowned for providing the ultimate Blue Mountains adventure – from native birdlife and fresh air, to breathtaking views of the world Heritage-listed regions including the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls and Jamison Valley. Journey on the world's steepest incline railway, glide between clifftops on the glass-floored Skyway suspended 270 metres in the air, descend into the ancient Jamison Valley by Cableway, explore Jurassic rainforest along the 2.4 kilometres walkway - the longest boardwalk in Australia. Saturday 29th March 2025

After a leisurely start we depart for Taronga Zoo. Taronga cares for over 5,000 animals from over 350 species, many of which are threatened. We visit Sydney Opera House Tour. Uncover the stories, history and magic of the Sydney Opera House with an incredible guided tour, taking you underneath the world-famous sails. We returning to our motel, and dinner at a local restaurant.

Sunday 30th March 2025

Following breakfast we travel into the city to enjoy a leisurely walk around the Botanical Gardens, an oasis of 30 hectares in the heart of the city. Wrapped around Sydney Harbour, the Gardens occupy one of Sydney’s most spectacular positions. Established in 1816, it is the oldest scientific institution in the country and is home to an outstanding collection of plants from Australia and overseas. From the provocative rare and threatened plants of the world to the romantic rose garden, the themed garden areas show the diverse beauty of nature. We also enjoy a picnic lunch in the gardens. Then we travel to Thirmerle to board the Heritage Rail for a ride on a steam train. 3801 Limited was established in 1985 to manage locomotive 3801 and associated rolling stock. They operated this locomotive for 20 years providing many tours to the public across Australia. Locomotive 3801 was handed back to the NSW Government in 2006, and they continued to operate a range of tours throughout NSWTonight we stay at the Heritage Motor Inn, Goulburn.

Monday 31st March 2025

This morning, following breakfast, we travel to Canberra. On arrival in Canberra we take a self guided tour of the War Memorial.. After lunch we head to Canberra Glass Works for a “make your own” work shop. Gain unique insights into the artistic processes behind our amazing hirers from our Viewing Platform. Watch molten glass transform in the Hotshop, visiting artists develop projects in the Engine Room, glass tubing glow in the Neon Studio and large commissions come together in our flexible Project Space. Canberra Glassworks provides many exciting possibilities with its inclusive, creative glass making workshops that will inspire you to develop your creativity. You’ll learn from art practitioners passionate about their craft. We continue on to enjoy the scenery at Lake Burley Griffin and Mount Ainslie Lookout. Then it’s onward to our accommodation at the Midnight Hotel – Autograph Collection for overnight stay.

Tuesday 1st April 2025

Breakfast time! This morning we travel to Cockington Green. Venture into this delightful and fascinating display of meticulously handcrafted miniature buildings from around the world. Set within beautifully landscaped gardens, complete the experience with a ride on the miniature steam train or view the 34 room dolls house ‘Waverley’. We depart Cockington Green and continue on to Gundagai for our lunch stop. Following lunch, we continue home after a delightful 8-day tour to Sydney & Blue Mountain.

Will Share option is not available after the balance date.

FREE PASSENGER PICKUP & RETURN SERVICE: For the convenience of all our passengers CARDWELL’S COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL provide Free Passenger Pickup & Return Service from all major Towns in North, North-East, Central Victoria & Southern NSW.  (For Example:  Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Seymour, Bendigo, Finley, Kerang, Echuca, Deniliquin, Yarrawonga, Corowa, and towns within these areas). For Passenger’s who live outside these areas Cardwell’s provide Overnight accommodation in Numurkah and ‘Free lock up car storage’ at our Numurkah depot. CANCELLATION POLICY: To cover the costs involved the following cancellation fees apply.  Notice given prior to Balance Date or more $25 per person Administration Fee and monies that have been paid on your behalf will not be refunded. Notice given after the balance date or once tour has departed No Refund will be given.

FARES & ITINERARIES: CARDWELL’S COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL costs published & outlined in the brochure are frozen, errors or printing mistakes are subject to correction. However, policy changes by rail/air/sea operators or changes in Government duties or taxes are outside the control of CARDWELL’S COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL. Air fares and other discount travel arrangements may be subject to availability of seats/berths, as determined by transport companies.  No increases apply once full fare is paid. The Tour duration includes the day of departure and the day of return. Fares shown make no allowance for extra accommodation or transfers necessitated by en-route stop-overs caused by rail/air/boat schedules, strikes or other reasons. Your Travel Agent will forward deposits and other payments to us on your behalf.  Receipt of deposits and also subsequent payments by the travel agent does not constitute receipts of those monies by us.  There is no liability on our part in respect of any monies paid to your Travel Agent unless and until we notify you (by way of Booking Confirmation Advice or Payment Receipt Advice) that monies have been received by us.  CARDWELL’S COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by CARDWELL’S COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL and has the right to accept wait listed passengers in place of those failing to finalise within the prescribed time.

ELIGIBILITY: No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of CARDWELLS’ COACH TRAVEL, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or they become objectionable to other passengers.  However, any person/s who cannot travel independently or needs special assistance must be accompanied by a companion.

ITINERARY CHANGES: Itineraries, accommodation, tours and cruises are subject to alteration with or without notice and intended as a guide only.  Alterations may come about due to road or weather conditions, strikes, non-performance by a supplier or any other reasons CARDWELL’S COACH & INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL act in your best interest in any such changes.

FUEL SURCHARGE: Due to the instability of world oil prices, in the event that fuel reaches $2.00/litre a Fuel Surcharge of $5/person per day will apply to the final payment. Subject to change.

SEAT CHANGES: A seat rotation system everyday ensures that all passengers have the opportunity to enjoy similar seating arrangements.

LUGGAGE: One medium suitcase per person, not exceeding 20kg (42lbs) and one carry bag for inside the coach.  Over limit luggage cannot be carried.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We can arrange for passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including cancellation fees, medical & curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure from tour due to death or illness etc.)  Ask your travel agent for details at time of booking.

FORCE MAJEURE: If by any means of any event of force majeure (which shall include terrorism, pandemic or any cause or event outside our control) we shall be delayed in or prevented from performing our obligations, then such delay or non-performance shall not be deemed a breach or entitle a damages claim. Our obligations shall be suspended whilst such event of force majeure continues.
