We then visit the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum. This Museum permanently houses the Somerville Collection of fossils and minerals, and features some of the finest and rarest specimens of mineral crystals and fossils from around the world. The internationally renowned collection contains over 5,000 objects and is presented together to give a strong understanding of the development of life on earth. After filling our heads with knowledge, we enjoy lunch in Bathurst township. Following lunch we take a look at the Bathurst Bathurst Art Gallery. Then it’s time to freshen up at the hotel before a unique evening experience in the styles of Downton Abbey at Abercrombie House (built in the 1870’s). We’ll take pre-dinner drinks in the Drawing Room and dinner in the Ballroom which will be themed to reflect the magnificent elegance of the Edwardian Era.
