Itinerary

Day 1 – Thursday 24th October ‘24 JERILDERIE – COONABARABRAN

Welcome aboard for our relaxing tour of Coffs Harbour. Today we travel to Jerilderie for our morning tea break. Continue through Narrandera to West Wyalong stopping enroute for lunch. Make our way to Forbes, Parkes and on to Peak Hill for our afternoon tea stop. We continue along the Newell Highway through Dubbo, Gilgandra and onto Coonabarabran, which is the stargazing capital of Australia. We settle in for our Overnight Stay at the Country Garden Motel Coonabarabran.

Day 2 – Friday 25th TAMWORTH – COFFS HARBOUR

This morning after a hearty breakfast we travel to Tamworth, the Country Music Capital, see the Golden Guitar and enjoy our lunch break here. Make our way to Armidale and along the Waterfall Way to Dorrigo. We travel past waterfalls through the most accessible National Park in the world. We spend some time in Dorrigo with its many craft shops. We visit the World Heritage listed National Park and the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre where there is a fantastic Skywalk high above the rainforest. We make our way to Coffs Harbour. We settle in for the Next Four Nights at the Sanctuary Resort Coffs Harbour.

Day 3 – Saturday 26th COFFS HARBOUR – JACARANDA’S IN BLOOM

After enjoying breakfast we take a little tour of Coffs Harbour, stopping for morning tea. Then it’s off to the award winning Butterfly Glass House which is an enclosed hot subtropical environment where visitors have the opportunity all year round, to get close to nature, be surrounded by 700 live Australian butterflies and learn about their life-cycle. Our knowledgeable keepers are always available to share the experience. This afternoon we follow the Pacific Highway north to Grafton the Commercial Centre of the Clarence Valley. Grafton is a beautiful place, justified with its gardens, fine colonial buildings and broad avenues lined with Jacaranda trees, set on the banks of the Clarence River. We meet bush poet Bill Kearns for an informative tour of the town and maybe a humorous poem or two. We admire the purple blossoms of the Jacaranda trees in full bloom. Then it’s back to our accommodation with time to freshen up for our Dinner at the Resort.

Day 4 – Sunday 27th WILDLIFE SANCTUARY - DOLPHIN CRUISE

Today we enjoy a relaxing morning in Coffs Harbour with a delightful stroll around the miniature Model Dutch Village with its miniature working windmills and garden railway, located at the Clog Barn. We then visit to Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, where is also where we stop for lunch. Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary is privileged to care for the amazing marine animal ambassadors that call the sanctuary home and share them with visitors. The Sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates hundreds of sick and injured marine animals each year, and releasing them back to their natural ocean homes. After lunch it’s on board the “Pacific Explorer” for a Whale Watching Cruise, enjoy the commentary as we cruise past the spectacular Coffs Harbour coastline. Then we return to our accommodation for dinner and a good rest.

Day 5 – Monday 28th TOUR COFFS HARBOUR – BIG BANANA

Today after a relaxing start we explore Coffs Harbour. Visit the Marina with its fishing fleet, whale watching and recreational vessels moored in the safe harbour. We visit the Big Banana where we enjoy lunch and take in a “World of Bananas” tour. Then we travel further to Carobana Chocolate Factory where we enjoy a taste and tour, before returning to our accommodation for dinner.

Day 6 – Tuesday 29th COFFS HARBOUR – NELSON BAY

This morning we farewell our hosts as we make our way to Nambucca Heads with magnificent views along the way. We continue to Kempsey and visit the Slim Dusty Centre which is a major cultural tourism attraction, celebrating the life of Australian Icon, Slim Dusty. We then travel to Port Macquarie and Coolongolook for our lunch break. We then visit the RAAF Fighter world Williamtown for a guided tour around the base with its unique display of fighter aircraft, then continue onto Nelson Bay for our overnight stay at the Marina Resort.

DAY 7 – Wednesday 30th NELSON BAY – SYDNEY- GOULBURN

After breakfast we travel to Sydney Darling Harbour to explore. For lunch we set sail on a Tall Ship lunch cruise. See the iconic sights from the water such as Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Once docked we will continue down the Hume Highway to Goulburn where enjoy our overnight stay at the Goulburn Heritage Motel.

DAY 8 – Thursday 31st GOULBURN - HOME

After a town tour we and make our way to Gundagai for our morning tea break at the Information centre where we view the Rusconi’s Marble Masterpiece which is a unique cathedral-in-miniature. We continue along the Hume Highway to Holbrook where we have lunch. We then make our way to Albury after a relaxed and enlightening tour of Coffs Harbour and Grafton.

Balance is by 8th September ’24.  Full payment is required if booking after the above date.

Accommodation Preferred:-   Twin / Double / Single / Triple / Will Share – Passengers who are willing to share with other passengers. *Please Note: For all ‘Will Share’ Passengers we will endeavour to find another single traveler of the same gender. If we are unable to find someone for you to share with then SINGLE SUPPLEMENT will apply. In the event that either passenger finds they are not compatible they will each have to pay for a single room option, if available.

 

 

FREE PASSENGER PICKUP & RETURN SERVICE:   For the convenience of all our passengers CARDWELL’S COACH TRAVEL provide Free Passenger Pickup & Return Service from all major Towns in North, North-East, Central Victoria & Southern NSW.  (For Example:  Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Seymour, Bendigo, Finley, Kerang, Echuca, Deniliquin, Yarrawonga, Corowa, and towns within these areas). For Passenger’s who live outside these areas Cardwell’s provide Overnight accommodation in Numurkah and ‘Free lock up car storage’ at our Numurkah depot.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Notice give before the balance due date, a refund less $50. Notice given on or after balance due date no refund.

FARES & ITINERARIES: CARDWELL’S COACH TRAVEL costs published & outlined in the brochure are frozen, errors or printing mistakes are subject to correction. However, policy changes by rail/air/sea operators or changes in Government duties or taxes are outside the control of CARDWELL’S COACH TRAVEL. Air fares and other discount travel arrangements may be subject to availability of seats/berths, as determined by transport companies.  No increases apply once full fare is paid. The Tour duration includes the day of departure and the day of return. Fares shown make no allowance for extra accommodation or transfers necessitated by en-route stop-overs caused by rail/air/boat schedules, strikes or other reasons.   Your Travel Agent will forward deposits and other payments to us on your behalf.  Receipt of deposits and also subsequent payments by the travel agent does not constitute receipts of those monies by us.  There is no liability on our part in respect of any monies paid to your Travel Agent unless and until we notify you (by way of Booking Confirmation Advice or Payment Receipt Advice) that monies have been received by us.  CARDWELL’S COACH TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by CARDWELL’S COACH TRAVEL and has the right to accept wait listed passengers in place of those failing to finalise within the prescribed time.

ELIGIBILITY:  No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of CARDWELLS’ COACH TRAVEL, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or they become objectionable to other passengers.  However, any person/s who cannot travel independently or needs special assistance must be accompanied by a companion.

ITINERARY CHANGES:   Itineraries, tours and cruises are subject to alteration with or without notice and intended as a guide only.  Alterations may come about due to road or weather conditions, strikes, non-performance by a supplier or any other reasons CARDWELL’S COACH TRAVEL act in your best interest in any such changes.

FUEL SURCHARGEDue to the instability of world oil prices, in the event that fuel reaches $2.00/litre a Fuel Surcharge of $5/person per day will apply to the final payment.  Subject to change.

SEAT CHANGESA seat rotation system everyday ensures that all passengers have the opportunity to enjoy similar seating arrangements.

LUGGAGEOne medium suitcase per person, not exceeding 20kg (42lbs) and one carry bag for inside the coach.  Over limit luggage cannot be carried.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:  We can arrange for passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including cancellation fees, medical & curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure from tour due to death or illness etc.)  Ask our friendly staff at Cardwell’s Coach Travel or your Travel Agent for details at time of booking.

FORCE MAJEURE: If by any means of any event of force majeure (which shall include terrorism, pandemic or any cause or event outside our control) we shall be delayed in or prevented from performing our obligations, then such delay or non-performance shall not be deemed a breach or entitle damages claim. Our obligations shall be suspended whilst such event of force majeure continues.
