Welcome aboard for an exciting tour of Hepburn Springs. Today we travel to Elmore for morning tea. Then it’s on to Castlemaine where we arrive at the Castlemaine Railway Station to board a steam train to Maldon. On arrival in Maldon we stop for lunch in town (own expense). Maldon has been designated “Australia’s first notable town” and is notable for its 19th-century appearance, maintained since the gold-rush days. Then we travel to Hepburn Springs for free time in the shops. Tonight, we settle in to the Bellinzona Resort for our dinner and overnight stay.

Meals Included: Dinner

DAY 2 – Friday 15th HIGH TEA

After a hearty breakfast we travel to Creswick see the Creswick Woollen Mill. The store features a showcase describing the company’s history, dating from 1947, and their famed heritage products, designed at their Mill in Creswick, Western Victoria. Australia’s historical coloured woollen spinning mills’ store will showcase the quality of Creswick’s products, ranging from homewares to apparel to accessories. Included in the showcase is an educational space providing local and international tourists an insight into the history of Australian natural fibres such as merino and alpaca. In addition, Creswick Woollen Mills' 72-year adventure is documented, as well as the remarkable history of its founder Paul Ryzowy. We depart and continue our travel to Ballarat where we view the Ex-Prisoners War Memorial. Then it’s time to indulge your tastebuds with a sumptuous High Tea at Craigs Royal Hotel. In the grandeur of the beautifully restored Grand Dining Room, sip a tea, coffee or a glass of sparkling wine accompanied by the classic finger sandwiches, savouries, scones and the most luscious petit fours, all made in-house. Once our appetite’s have been satisfied, we depart the hotel and continue our journey home with fond memories of our trip to Hepburn Springs.
