Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday 17th April 2027 Melbourne - Sydney

All aboard as we begin our journey to Melbourne, where we will connect with our flight to Sydney. Upon arrival in Sydney, a transfer will take us to our overnight accommodation at the Swissotel or a similar property. This evening, take the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers while enjoying a delightful two-course dinner.

Day 2: Sunday 18th April 2027 Sydney - Norfolk Island

We transfer to the airport for our flight to Norfolk Island. As we approach the island, you’ll notice the scenery transform into rolling green landscapes dotted with the iconic Norfolk Island pine trees. On arrival, a transfer will take us to our home for the next seven nights, the South Pacific Resort. Situated in Burnt Pine on the fringe of the township, the resort offers a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere while still being just a short stroll from local shops and attractions.

Day 3 : Mon 19th April 2027 Half Day Tour- Convict Settlement Tour - Progressive Dinner

This morning, embark on a guided half-day tour that immerses you in the fascinating history of Norfolk Island's Kingston and Arthur's Vale Historic Area (KAVHA), a UNESCO World Heritage-listed Georgian settlement. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you through this living showcase of Polynesian, convict, and Pitcairn Islander heritage, where you'll explore the historic cemetery with its colonial headstones, stroll along the beautifully preserved cottages of Quality Row, and discover the evocative ruins of the New Gaol, Pier Store, Boat Shed, and Crank Mill. Each site offers a compelling glimpse into the island's intriguing past, and afternoon tea is included to complete this enriching historical experience. As evening falls, enjoy a truly unique dining experience with a progressive three-course dinner hosted across several carefully selected Norfolk Island family homes. Each course is served in a different residence, where your hosts share personal stories of island life, family heritage, and local traditions. Savor authentic home-cooked meals featuring the same flavors locals enjoy every day, while white wine and juice are provided (BYO additional drinks welcome). Day 4: Tuesday 20th April 2027 Greenfingers- 4WD - Island Fish Fry

Experience a day of adventure, discovery and local flavour as you explore the island’s natural beauty and unique way of life. Wander through lush gardens and learn about the island’s rich farming heritage during the Green Fingers experience, then climb aboard a 4WD tour to uncover breathtaking landscapes, rugged tracks and spectacular coastal views. End the day with a relaxed island fish fry, featuring fresh local seafood, delicious seasonal produce and live entertainment under the stars — the perfect way to soak up the island atmosphere.

Day 5 : Wednesday 21st April 2027 Bushwalk- Cyclorama- Glaas Bohtam Boat

Start the day with a delicious breakfast before setting out on a scenic bushwalk through the island’s stunning natural surroundings, where towering trees, native wildlife and sweeping ocean views create an unforgettable experience. Continue your journey with a visit to the Cyclorama, an impressive panoramic artwork that brings the island’s fascinating history to life through detailed storytelling and immersive scenes. Then step aboard a glass bottom boat for a unique view beneath the crystal-clear waters, discovering vibrant marine life and colourful coral reefs without getting wet — a perfect blend of nature, history and adventure.

Day 6: Thurday 22nd April 2027 Cattlestops- Colleen McCullogh-Wonderland by Night

Discover the charm and character of the island on a memorable day filled with local stories, scenic beauty and fascinating history. Travel over the famous cattle stops as you explore picturesque roads and rolling countryside, while learning about the island’s unique traditions and way of life. Visit the former home of celebrated author Colleen McCullough and gain insight into the life and inspiration behind one of Australia’s most beloved writers. As evening arrives, experience the magic of Wonderland by Night, where illuminated trees, captivating storytelling and the beauty of the island forest create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.

Day 7: Friday 23rd April 2027 Paddock to Plate-Night as a Convict

Enjoy a day of flavour, history and island hospitality with experiences that showcase the island’s rich heritage and local produce. Discover the journey from paddock to plate as you visit picturesque farms and learn how fresh seasonal ingredients are grown, harvested and transformed into delicious local cuisine. Meet passionate producers, sample regional flavours and gain a deeper appreciation for the island’s sustainable way of life. As night falls, step back in time with Night as a Convict, an interactive and entertaining evening that brings the island’s convict history to life through storytelling, humour and immersive experiences.

Day 8: Saturday 24th April 2027 Museum-Lavender Farm-Murder Mystery Dinner

Spend the day discovering the island’s rich history, local traditions and unique experiences. Explore the fascinating Bounty Folk Museum, where treasured artefacts, maritime history and stories of the island’s early settlers offer a glimpse into the past. Continue to the charming lavender farm, where fragrant gardens and locally made products create a relaxing and picturesque setting. In the evening, enjoy a Murder Mystery Dinner filled with suspense, laughter and interactive entertainment as you work alongside fellow guests to uncover clues and solve the mystery while enjoying a delicious meal.

Day 9: Sunday 25th April 2027 Sydney- Melbourne

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Sydney. On arrival into Sydney connect to your flight to Melbourne. Your accommodation tonight is the ParkRoyal Melbourne Airport.

Day 10: Monday 26th April 2027 Melbourne

Start the morning fresh before your final journey home. Cardwells will take you back to your original pickup locations.

Deposit & Final Payment

  • Deposit: $250 per person, required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
  • Final Payment: Due by 5th Feb 2027.

Cancellation Policy

  • Before balance due date: Refundable less $150 per person.
  • After balance due date: No refund.
  • Travel Insurance: Highly recommended. You may obtain insurance through NIB or any provider of your choice. You are not required to go through us.

Tour Host

  • This tour is fully guided from Numurkah.

Pickup & Return Service

  • Included pickup and return from major towns in North, North-East, Central Victoria, and Southern NSW, including:
  • Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Seymour, Bendigo, Finley, Kerang, Echuca, Deniliquin, Yarrawonga, Corowa, and surrounding towns.
  • Passengers living outside these areas will be provided with free overnight accommodation in Numurkah, which includes a dinner voucher, breakfast, and free lock-up car storage at our depot.
  • Melbourne Airport pickup and return is available; contact our office for details (surcharges may apply).

Passenger Removal

  • Cardwell’s reserves the right to remove passengers exhibiting violent, abusive, or objectionable behaviour.
  • No refunds will be given for the unused portion of the tour.
  • Any costs incurred to return home will be the passenger’s responsibility.

Fuel Surcharge

  • A surcharge may apply if fuel prices reach $3.00 per litre or higher.

Force Majeure

  • If circumstances beyond our control—including terrorism, pandemics, or other unforeseen events—delay or prevent us from fulfilling obligations, such delay or non-performance will not be considered a breach of contract, nor entitle claims for damages.
  • Our obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.
  • New Terms & Conditions may apply once the event concludes.

Eligibility

  • Passengers whose mental or physical condition prevents them from caring for themselves, or who are objectionable to other passengers, may be refused travel.
  • Passengers needing assistance must be accompanied by a companion.

Fares & Itineraries

  • Costs in the brochure are fixed, though errors may be corrected.
  • Policy changes by rail, air, or sea operators, or government taxes, are beyond our control.
  • Air fares and other discounted travel arrangements are subject to availability.
  • Fares do not cover extra accommodation or transfers caused by delays, strikes, or other reasons.
  • Tour duration includes departure and return days.
  • Payments via travel agents are not considered received until confirmed by Cardwell’s.
  • Cardwell’s reserves the right to cancel bookings or refuse travel if payment is not received and may accept waitlisted passengers instead.

Accommodation

  • Options: Twin / Double / Single / Triple / Willing to Share.
  • For passengers choosing “Will Share”, we will attempt to pair you with a same-gender traveller.
  • If no partner is available, Single Supplement will apply.
  • If sharing passengers are incompatible, each must pay for a single room.
  • Will Share is not available after the balance date.

Luggage

  • One medium suitcase per person (max 20kg / 42lbs) and one carry-on for inside the coach.
  • Over-limit luggage cannot be carried.

  • By booking this tour, each passenger agrees to and understands these conditions.
